Banquet: The TILJ banquet on April 18 was a great success! Twenty-nine firms and companies helped sponsor the event and fund five student awards. More than ninety-five students, alumni, faculty, and guests gathered together for food and drinks, to hear of the Volume 36 Editorial Board's accomplishments for the year, and to listen to the Volume 37 Board's plans for the upcoming year. Also, the Volume 36 Board recognized the outstanding contributions of various editors and staff members toward those five student awards and announced the publication of six student notes in Volume 37. Mr. Ed Knight (TILJ, Volume 11, 1976), Chief Legal Officer of the Nasdaq and former General Counsel of the U.S. Treasury, highlighted the evening with his keynote presentation about the influence of TILJ and law school on his legal experiences.

TILJ Association: We are in the process of reviving the TILJ Association, Inc., the alumni organization of years past. We will be applying for tax-exempt status under I.R.C. section 501(c)(3). Any contributions made to the TILJ Association would then be tax-deductible. If you have any opinions as to what the TILJ Association should do, how it should raise funds, or anything else associated with the organization, including your interest in participating on the Board of the Association, please contact us by e-mail or by using the comment section of the alumni update form.
